The lodge "L'ESCALE DU DESERT"

By foot, horse or bike L’Escale du Desert is an ideal place to recharge your energy amidst the calm atmosphere of these authentic surroundings, before you leave to enjoy the area of Chartreuse. The Gîte. is ideally located close to the “GR” (the biggest walking path in France) surrounded by the mountains of Chartreuse. There are a number of walking paths near by, the Gîte is at the door step of the Nordic area of Entremont in a natural environment wild in the heart of the Regional Park of Chartreuse.

There are dormitories or comfortable rooms with private bath rooms. Our options and prices can be adopted to suit your needs, you can chose just to sleep, half board or full board.

The meals are based on local produce of the season. It is possible to eat on the terrace with the panoramic views of Chartreuse (watch the sun come up for breakfast). If you are allergic to types of food it is necessary to tell us before you arrive.

It is possible to have a packed lunch prepared if you wish to walk

The prices and half board accommodation is reduced for children under 12 years old and free for children under 2 years old.  There is a cot available for babies.
